Mental Health Resources

At River Charter Schools, we want to support students and families in all aspects of their well-being, including their mental and emotional health. There are many helpful resources online and in our region, which you can read about below.

Cook Center for Human Connection

This free mental health resource provides a trusted place for parents to find answers, support, and help for their children. Parents can access video courses taught by licensed therapists on topics like living with a child with depression, identifying anxiety, and coping with grief and loss.

To explore the resources, visit their website: ParentGuidance.org.

County Resources

Both Yolo and Sacramento counties have information sheets listing resources in our areas. Click below to see what resources are available near you.

Suicide Hotline: Call 988

The national 988 Lifeline provides one-on-one, confidential counseling by phone, text, or chat, 24 hours a day. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you or a loved one needs help.
